Following Spain's triumph in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, international leaders have extended their formal congratulations to the national team. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan took to social media to express his sentiments, stating, "I wholeheartedly congratulate the Spanish National Team on winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and I extend my greetings and warm regards, on behalf of my country and my nation, to the friendly people of Spain."

The official State of Palestine account also shared a message of support on X, accompanying their congratulations with an image of the team celebrating their victory alongside Palestinian, Spanish, and heart emojis. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez acknowledged the team's achievement on the same platform, offering his thanks for their efforts throughout the tournament.

Spain claimed the title after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over defending champions Argentina at the New York New Jersey Stadium in the United States. The match was decided in extra time by a late goal from Ferran Torres. This victory marks Spain's second World Cup trophy, coming 16 years after Andres Iniesta scored the winner to deliver the country's first crown in 2010.
