Israeli forces have abducted seven Palestinians from a mosque in the occupied West Bank town of Idhna following an attack by illegal settlers on the house of worship. The incident occurred in the Al-Jalatiya neighborhood of the town, located in the southern West Bank, according to reports from the official Palestinian news agency Wafa.
During the raid on the Nabi Saleh Mosque, Israeli troops fired live ammunition into the air, alongside stun grenades and tear gas, before seizing the seven Palestinians from inside the mosque. The military operation followed an escalation by illegal settlers in Al-Jalatiya, who set up a tent on Palestinian-owned land, brought a flock of sheep to the site, and vandalized a Palestinian vehicle by smashing it. Settlers also physically assaulted local Palestinian residents.
Parallel military incursions were carried out in other parts of the occupied West Bank. In Bethlehem, Israeli forces raided the Dheisheh refugee camp south of the city. Troops deployed tear gas and stun grenades against residents, resulting in several Palestinians suffering from tear gas inhalation. The forces also smashed the windows of several parked vehicles inside the camp.
Meanwhile, in the central West Bank city of Al-Bireh, Israeli troops entered the city center. During the raid, forces fired live ammunition, stun grenades, and tear gas before pulling out. No casualties or arrests were reported from the Al-Bireh operation. Such incursions are part of daily military raids conducted by Israeli forces across West Bank towns, cities, and refugee camps, which frequently involve arrests and damage to Palestinian property.
