West Indies captain Shai Hope won the toss and elected to bowl first in the fifth and final One-Day International (ODI) against New Zealand in Bridgetown, as the hosts search for a consolation victory to end the series.
With New Zealand holding an unassailable 3-1 lead after clinching the series in the previous match, the West Indies made a single change to their starting lineup. Power-hitter Shimron Hetmyer returns to the side to replace Amir Jangoo. Jangoo, who top-scored for the hosts on Sunday with a 73-ball 51, was forced to sit out of the finale after sustaining a shoulder injury.
New Zealand also made changes to their setup, handing fast bowler Kristian Clarke his first appearance of the tour in place of Matt Fisher. Additionally, the visitors confirmed that Daryl Mitchell, who missed the fourth ODI due to a hip issue, has already flown back home to begin his rehabilitation.
