Former Lazio defender Mario Gila has shared his enthusiasm regarding his initial transition to Milan, noting that he already feels comfortable within the Rossoneri environment after completing his first week of training at Milanello. Gila spoke about his early experiences during an event with supporters held at the Milan store on Via Dante.
While the majority of his time has been dedicated to pre-season preparations at the training ground, Gila also noted that he has enjoyed his limited experiences in the city. “In the city I feel good. It’s true that I haven’t experienced it too much yet because I have been at Milanello, but in the few free days I have had I have felt very comfortable and relaxed. Now I have practically found a home. I want to experience it and make it feel like mine.”
The defender’s early remarks highlight the emphasis Milan places on cultivating a cohesive team identity as the club looks to rebuild confidence and compete for major honours. For Gila, the immediate focus remains on integration and preparing for what is anticipated to be a significant campaign at the San Siro.
