Tommy Hilfiger brought classic prep and high-profile glamour to Midtown Manhattan on Thursday afternoon, hosting a star-studded New York Fashion Week show at the historic Plaza Hotel on Sept. 10.
The front row featured a celebration of New York’s summer favorites, including New York Knicks stars and NBA Finals champions Josh Hart, Miles McBride, and Karl-Anthony Towns, who was accompanied by his new wife, Jordyn Woods. Guests also cheered on "Love Island USA" winner Trinity Tatum, recalling the watch parties where New Yorkers gathered to support them during the summer of 2026.
Outside the historic venue, a crowd of onlookers and roughly 100 photographers gathered to catch a glimpse of the arriving celebrities. Inside, a string quartet played while waiters circulated with silver trays of champagne. The star-studded guest list included Kate Moss, former Knicks star Carmelo Anthony, Camila Cabello, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and K-pop star Jisoo, whose arrival drew loud screams from fans waiting outside. Other notable attendees in the front row included singer Coco Jones, actress Madelaine Petsch, Heidi Klum's daughter Leni Klum, and "Power" star Michael Rainey Jr. In a lively moment, former "Real Housewives" star Lisa Rinna was heard exclaiming as she ran into actor Lukas Gage.
Supermodel Gigi Hadid opened the runway presentation, wearing an oversized beige blazer paired with a white shirt, bright tomato red trousers, a navy bucket hat, and a matching pocket square. The collection stayed true to Hilfiger's signature preppy, effortlessly cool aesthetic, showcasing a lived-in look with faded logos on sweatshirts and dresses, as well as jackets draped over quarter-zips and button-down shirts with loose ties. The show also signaled the return of the popped collar alongside layered double and triple polo shirts.
Romeo Beckham, the son of David and Victoria Beckham, closed the runway in a red-and-black plaid ensemble, marking his latest high-profile runway appearance since walking at London Fashion Week in February.
As the final models walked, the string quartet transitioned into an instrumental rendition of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' "Empire State of Mind," prompting Towns and Anthony to sing along and bob their heads. Viral newcomer Slayyyter then took the microphone to perform her hit "Unknown Loverz" before launching into her upbeat track "DANCE…" as the models returned for the grand finale. To close the event, Hilfiger ran out for his final bow, guided by his large, fluffy white dog, waving to the audience and stopping to kiss his wife on his way out.
