A shooting incident at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, resulted in multiple fatalities on Saturday, according to local police. Authorities confirmed that the suspect responsible for the attack is also dead.
Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks described the scene as "very chaotic" while speaking to reporters. While official confirmation regarding the exact number of victims remains ongoing, city spokesman Josh Palmer indicated that three people were killed and two others were wounded. It is currently unclear if the gunman is included in that casualty count.
Local media outlets broadcast video footage that appeared to show a young man holding a long gun outside the restaurant. Additional footage posted on social media captured the moments following the incident, showing more than a dozen individuals fleeing the scene.
Twin Falls is located in southern Idaho, approximately 290 kilometres northwest of Salt Lake City, and has a population of about 56,000 residents.
