Over 2,200 attacks were launched against Palestinians and their property in the occupied West Bank during July by the Israeli military and illegal settlers, according to a report released on Monday.

The Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission documented 2,256 total incidents, with 1,458 carried out by the Israeli army and 798 by settlers. Muayyad Shaaban, the head of the commission, noted that military operations were heavily concentrated in Ramallah and al-Bireh (260), Nablus (247), Jenin (190), Bethlehem (185), and Hebron (170).

Shaaban described the volume of settler attacks as "record and unprecedented," highlighting 228 incidents in Nablus, 212 in Hebron, and 153 in Ramallah and al-Bireh. Since the beginning of the year, illegal settlers have carried out a total of 4,286 attacks. The violence in July claimed the lives of seven Palestinians, including four who were killed during a settler raid on the village of Tell, located west of Nablus.

The commission's monthly report detailed extensive environmental and property damage, noting that settlers uprooted, damaged, or poisoned 5,027 trees, of which 3,241 were olive trees. Settlers also launched 440 attacks targeting Palestinian farmland and property, alongside 23 incidents of property theft or confiscation. Furthermore, settlers attempted to establish 29 new settlement outposts, while Israeli authorities authorized plans for 1,128 new settlement units across 1,172 dunams (289.6 acres) of Palestinian land.

Demolitions also persisted, with Israeli forces tearing down structures on Monday under the pretext of lacking building permits. Local activist Jihad al-Qaq reported the demolition of a 140-square-meter home under construction and a 460-square-meter horse farm in Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah. In Beit Dajan, east of Nablus, local sources reported that the demolition of two agricultural structures by Israeli forces caused a partial power outage.

Throughout July, Israeli authorities issued 31 military seizure orders covering approximately 831 dunams (205 acres) of land. They also executed 80 demolition operations that targeted 165 structures, including 80 inhabited homes. Currently, about 750,000 illegal settlers reside in 156 settlements and 360 outposts across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Since the escalation of the Gaza war in October 2023, intensified military raids and settler attacks in the West Bank have resulted in more than 1,182 Palestinian deaths, around 13,000 injuries, and nearly 24,000 arrests, according to official Palestinian figures.
