Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has officially announced his engagement to singer Madison Beer. The couple shared the news on July 28 through a joint Instagram post, which featured the simple caption, "meet my fiancé." The Los Angeles Chargers organization quickly responded to the announcement, posting a message of congratulations on X.
The pair first began appearing in public together in August 2025 and have since been seen at various sporting events around the Los Angeles area. While Herbert has historically maintained a private life focused primarily on football, his relationship with Beer has drawn public attention. Earlier this offseason, the quarterback chose to skip organized team activities (OTAs) to support the singer at the beginning of her "Locket Tour," a decision that was received positively by Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh.
Herbert also featured in the music video for Beer’s single "lovergirl." The video, which lasts nearly three-and-a-half minutes, depicts the couple in various settings, including at the beach and sharing a photo booth. As he looks toward the upcoming 2026 NFL season, Herbert is aiming for improved results following a challenging campaign last year that was hampered by an injured offensive line. With the addition of new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel and expectations for better blocking, there is optimism surrounding the potential for the Chargers to rise in the league standings.
