Roma Interested in Abde Ezzalzouli Despite High Asking Price

AS Roma have added Real Betis winger Abde Ezzalzouli to their list of potential transfer targets, though the club faces a major financial obstacle. Reports indicate that the 24-year-old, who has impressed in Spain, is currently being considered by the Giallorossi as an alternative to RB Leipzig player Antonio Nusa.

While interest in the Morocco international has been confirmed by multiple sources, including reports from Il Tempo and journalist Matteo Moretto, the €60m asking price set by Real Betis is considered prohibitive. Should this valuation remain unchanged, it is expected that the player will be effectively ruled out of a move to the Stadio Olimpico.

Ezzalzouli’s versatility, which allows him to operate effectively on both the left and right wings, has drawn attention from several clubs this summer, including Premier League sides Aston Villa and Newcastle United. His performance record from the previous season was strong, having contributed 15 goals and 13 assists across 43 competitive appearances for Real Betis.

The player’s international career faced a recent setback when he was forced to leave the Morocco squad just before the World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico due to a knee injury sustained during a friendly match against Norway. Previously, Ezzalzouli had been linked with potential moves to both Roma and Como during the summer transfer window of last year.
