Napoli director Giovanni Manna has issued a clear message to Boca Juniors regarding the potential transfer of winger Exequiel Zeballos. Manna stated that the Serie A club will only pursue the signing if the financial terms are deemed appropriate, otherwise, they are prepared to wait until the player becomes a free agent in January 2027.
It is widely understood that Zeballos has already reached an agreement on personal terms with the Partenopei. This development is cited as the primary reason for the player’s refusal to sign a new contract with his current club, Boca Juniors. Despite the ongoing interest, Manna emphasized that the club maintains a disciplined approach to the transfer market.
Boca Juniors president Juan Roman Riquelme also addressed the situation within the last 24 hours. Riquelme confirmed that Zeballos remains under contract with the Argentine club until December and stated that he has no direct involvement or communication with Napoli regarding a potential transfer.
