A shooting incident at a techno music event in northern Switzerland left multiple people injured early Sunday morning. Local police confirmed that the attack occurred near the Aarauer Rave, an annual party held in Aarau, located north of Zurich.
Authorities have initiated a large-scale police response to the scene, though they have provided few specific details regarding the suspects or the condition of the victims. According to a report by the Swiss newspaper Blick, the gunfire broke out shortly before 3:00 am (0100 GMT) on the sidelines of the event. The rave, which ran from 3:00 pm on Saturday until 2:00 am on Sunday, had attracted approximately 3,500 attendees.
Police spokeswoman Vanessa Rumpold confirmed that the shooting took place at the racecourse where the party was being hosted. "Several shots were fired within a large group of people," Rumpold stated. One witness at the location described hearing "bursts of gunfire" as the incident unfolded.
