Two Palestinians sustained injuries on Sunday during a series of attacks carried out by illegal Israeli settlers across the occupied West Bank. According to official Voice of Palestine radio, the two victims were assaulted by settlers on the outskirts of Beit Ula, located northwest of Hebron.
In the town of Beita, south of Nablus, settlers reportedly dumped piles of garbage outside a Palestinian residence, though no physical injuries were reported in that specific incident. Meanwhile, the official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that illegal settlers entered the village of Abu Njeim, southeast of Bethlehem, where they gathered in several neighbourhoods and along the main road, causing significant alarm among local residents regarding potential further violence.
Wafa further detailed that illegal Israeli settlers targeted Palestinian homes and vehicles in the areas of Gharaba, Sinjil, Kafr Malik, Deir Jarir, Taybeh, Yabrud, and Beitillu, all situated near Ramallah. These incidents coincided with military operations conducted by Israeli forces. In Ramallah, Israeli forces, accompanied by illegal settlers, conducted a raid on the outskirts of the Al-Tira neighbourhood.
Separately, an Anadolu correspondent reported that Israeli forces, supported by a military bulldozer, raided the town of Salem, east of Nablus. During this operation, soldiers brought three Palestinian prisoners from the Ishtayeh family to their home. One of the detainees was forced to dig in the yard of a neighbouring house before being returned to his father's home. Before withdrawing, the military forces arrested a Palestinian man identified as Yamen Atwi.
Violence in the occupied West Bank has escalated significantly since the onset of Israel's war on Gaza in October 2023, characterized by frequent military raids, settler attacks, home demolitions, and forced displacement. According to official Palestinian figures, the region has seen more than 1,182 Palestinians killed, approximately 13,000 wounded, and nearly 24,000 arrested during this period.
