Türkiye will remain steadfast on its path toward economic development and prosperity regardless of the conflicts currently destabilizing the region, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared on Tuesday.

Speaking after a Cabinet meeting held at the Ahlat Presidential Complex in Bitlis, Erdogan emphasized that the country's direction is clear and its destination remains within reach. He assured the public that the trust of Türkiye's 86 million citizens is secure under his administration and vowed not to let this sacred trust be overshadowed.

The Cabinet meeting, chaired by Erdogan, covered several critical areas, including foreign policy, trade, security, and the government's ongoing "Terror-Free Türkiye" initiative. While acknowledging that regional economic crises have impacted the domestic economy, Erdogan reiterated the government's unwavering commitment to its targets in employment, exports, agriculture, and tourism.

Addressing the economic fallout from tensions between Iran and the United States, the Turkish president noted that the shockwaves sent through the global economy are gradually diminishing. This, he explained, would soon allow the country to clearly assess its direct impact on daily life.

A major focus of the address was the "Terror-Free Türkiye" process. Erdogan pointed to a recently passed law in parliament, which received 467 votes, hailing it as a historic consensus that has significantly bolstered the process. He argued that Turkish democracy possesses the maturity to resolve any issue when political actors prioritize national interests over daily political calculations.

Erdogan urged individuals from all political spectrums, along with civil society organizations and regional opinion leaders, to actively support the initiative. He characterized the anti-terror effort as a national duty rather than a project limited to the ruling government and its alliance, calling on everyone to honor the sacrifices of martyrs and veterans by ridding the country of terrorism once and for all. He warned that any actions designed to complicate, sabotage, or provoke the process would be judged harshly by history.

Discussing broader regional dynamics, Erdogan reiterated Türkiye's active pursuit of peace, stating that the country’s efforts are actively disrupting the plans of "criminal networks built on blood and conflict." He stated that Türkiye will not back down from establishing regional stability, even if certain actors are concerned or see their agendas disrupted. Erdogan concluded by reiterating that Türkiye has no hidden agenda and will continue to support the recovery of its neighbors.

God willing, we will not allow them to be carried out.”“We will not refrain from working to establish peace in our region because some do not want it, are concerned about it or see their plans disrupted,” Erdogan added. He said Türkiye would continue supporting its neighbours’ recovery despite opposition from what he described as “criminal networks with the blood of innocent people on their hands.”“We have no hidden agenda or intentions, contrary to what some claim.
